Tuesdays in summer means it's time to hit the farmer's marked on Federal Plaza. (Thursdays it's Daley Plaza.) It's still early, but today's bounty includes some purple asparagus, fresh arugula, and some great yellow tomatoes. (This being early in the season, I suspect the tomatoes were hothouse grown, but I couldn't resist.)
I'm going to make golden tomato conserve, and toss the arugula in a salad or something. Truth be told, I'm not sure what to do with the purple asparagus.
